Plutonium in the Medical Industry
Although Plutonium is very harmful to humans it serves a few uses in the medical field. One of the uses is plutonium is very active so it is used as a battery source in pacemakers to keep peoples hearts beating properly. Other than being used as a power supply plutonium is to dangreous to be widely used in the medical industry. When ingested or inhaled plutonium seekes out the lungs, bones and liver. From there plutonium dust will cover the areas and create cancer by slowly releasing radiation into all surrounding tissues. Bone and lung cancer is common from plutonium dust but it takes several decades to become apparent.
